Welcome to JVO6!
JVO6 at the Chico Racquet Club was an incredible event that featured the biggest player pool yet with 310 player event entries, let’s keep building this baby! We strive to put on the best experience possible for the Northern California pickleball community and beyond, with 4 days of competition and fun for all ages and skill levels!
We will have free JVO6 t-shirts for all “early bird” entrants, a free Friday night pizza party with rec play, awesome prizes for winners, Daniel’s famous raffle with thousands of $$ in prizes, quality medals, Marin kombucha on tap, singles divisions on Thursday evening, optional 55+ age brackets, live music, Habaneros mexican food on site, and a massage booth for players!
*New for JVO6: All top divisions will now be moneyball divisions! Meaning half of each team entry in Womens 4.5+, Mens 5.0+, Mixed 4.5+, and Mens singles 4.5+ will go to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. (If Daniel or Jordan win any money playing it will be donated to the NVCF charity).

-We will also again be implementing the same successful anti sandbagging measures from JVO5. Teams must no longer enter divisions in which their average team DUPR is .50 higher than the divisions skill level, and will be moved accordingly at the TD’s discretion. This will help to ensure quality competition and a more level playing field across all of our divisions. Any team is welcome to play above their team DUPR of course.
To check your team DUPR average if you are unsure: Add player A and player B’s ratings together, then divide it by 2, voila.
Schedule:
Thursday, March 27th, 6pm-10pm- All singles divisions
Friday, March 28th, 6pm- Pizza party/ meet up game night!
Saturday, March 29th, 8am-8pm- Gender Doubles
Sunday, March 30th, 8am-3pm- Mixed Doubles
10am- Live music by local singer songwriter and good friend Pat Hull!
3pm- Daniels famous raffle!
3:30pm- Mixed 4.5+ semis and title games!
Start time for Saturday/ Sunday will be 8am, with warm up and check in starting at 7am. We will stagger the start times to make the days flow smoothly. A full schedule will be released once reg is closed.
