Free Pickleball Clinics

Take your game to a new level

Pickleball is easy to learn but a challenge to master. While you are welcome to come out and learn on your own, we strongly encourage you to stop by during open play at the 20th Street Courts any day of the week (best after 10:30 AM) and just let everyone know you are new and let us show you the basics.

For those that are interested in the Pickleball Clinics, we suggest looking for Troy Steffy any time you see her on the courts and just let her know that you are interested in some assistance / coaching. If time permits, she can organize a game/drill/advice with you and other players if needed to help work on things that can improve your game. If for some reason that day won’t work, she can coordinate a time with you. There are many other experienced players that are willing to help others improve as well. Another suggestion would be to let any of the “better” players (those people you think know how to play better than you) and ask if they would mind playing a game or two with you and offering advice. Most people are happy to offer advice if you ask.

Typically the best time to ask for help would be later in the morning around 10:30 on so it gives better players and others a chance to have their fun / get in some competitive games.

Other helpful tips would be to find someone that would be willing to meet you at certain times when the courts were not full and practice.

There are also tons of videos on YouTube that you can learn a lot from. I personally watch the pro matches as well. Be sure to check out some of the videos on our How to Play Pickleball page.

We look forward to seeing you on the courts.
